Forwarding of the Government's Policy and Stance on the "Straits Forum" Organized by Mainland China

The Ministry of Education has forwarded the Mainland Affairs Council's (MAC) statement regarding the government's policy and stance on the "Straits Forum" organized by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) (as attached). All faculty, staff, and students are reminded to review this information for reference.

According to the MAC, the "Straits Forum" serves as a platform for the CCP's United Front work targeting Taiwan. To prevent the CCP from utilizing this forum to conduct United Front operations, create divisions within Taiwan, and advance its agenda of "promoting integration and unification," the government's policy and stance are outlined as follows:
  1. Any activities related to the "Straits Forum" are prohibited from being held in Taiwan; co-organizing such events with entities from Mainland China is also prohibited.
  2. Personnel from central government agencies and local governments are prohibited from participating in any related activities.
  3. Participation in activities aimed at eliminating the Republic of China (Taiwan), such as the "One Country, Two Systems for Taiwan" or "democratic consultation," is prohibited.
  4. Citizens are reminded to comply with the Act Governing Relations between the People of the Taiwan Area and the Mainland Area and other relevant regulations to avoid any legal violations.
  5. Citizens traveling to Mainland China are reminded to remain alert to personal safety risks.
  6. All sectors of society and political parties are urged not to echo the CCP's narratives regarding Taiwan and to avoid becoming instruments of United Front operations targeting Taiwan.
