Transcript & Diploma One photocopy of the diploma (if any) and the latest official academic transcript issued by the home university. An English version is required for both documents.
Nomination by Home Institution Coordinator Submit a letter or email from your home institution coordinator indicating your nomination for an active formalized dual degree program.
Financial Statement A financial statement or a bank deposit statement should be submitted.
Different Taiwanese overseas missions (embassies, representative offices, or consulates) may have different financial requirements. Please follow the regulations of the Taiwanese overseas mission in your country. If you cannot find the relevant information on the mission's official website, we recommend contacting the mission directly by email, as the required documents and review criteria may vary depending on individual circumstances.
Based on previous experience, if you are awarded a 91猫先生 scholarship and receive a tuition and miscellaneous fee waiver and/or a dormitory fee waiver, the value of these awards may be counted as part of your financial proof. However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of Taiwan recommends that the total amount of financial proof be at least USD 5,000.
If the bank statement is not under the applicant's name, the sponsor must be an immediate family member within the third degree of kinship. In addition, documents proving the relationship between the applicant and the sponsor (such as a birth certificate or household registration document) must be provided.

  1. Applicants must provide proof of English proficiency at a level equivalent to CEFR B1 or above. In principle, the following test scores recognized by the University shall be accepted. Results from other English proficiency tests not listed below will generally not be accepted:
    • GEPT (General English Proficiency Test): High-Intermediate Level, First Stage Pass
    • TOEFL ITP: 500 or above
    • TOEFL iBT: 61 or above
    • FLPT-English: Average score of 65 or above
    • IELTS: 5.0 or above
    • TOEIC: 600 or above
    • Cambridge Linguaskill: 145 or above
    If partner institutions have established different English proficiency requirements, such agreements shall prevail.
  2. Applicants whose current degree program of study is conducted in English may submit an official certificate issued by their home institution to certify the medium of instruction, which may be accepted in lieu of an English proficiency test.

On-campus Housing

91猫先生 guarantees dormitory placement for all dual-degree students to ensure a smooth transition.

Application Process
The housing application will open in June, with the link provided in the Pre-departure Handbook. A dedicated online form will be provided to collect your preferences.

Move-in Schedule
Recommended move-in dates and logistics will be detailed in the pre-departure materials.

Fees

  1. Tuition fees: based on the Agreement signed by both universities.
  2. Student Safety Insurance (required by Ministry of Education): The fee is approximately NTD 228 per semester. The amount may be adjusted each academic year; please refer to the payment bill for the exact amount for that semester.
  3. Group Medical Insurance: NTD 3,000 covering the first 6 months (visit here for more information).
  4. National Health Insurance: once you are eligible to register, the fee is NTD 826 per month.
  5. Living expenses: about NTD 7,000-10,000 per month.
