All students: Student Safety Insurance

The Ministry of Education sponsors all students to enroll in Student Accident Insurance. The fee is approximately NT$230 per semester. This insurance provides coverage for illness (surgery and hospitalization), accidents, severe burns, first-time cancer diagnosis, disability, and death benefits. All students are encouraged to enroll for additional protection.

Degree Students

Per "" by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Taiwan, new international students must attach proof of medical and injury insurance policies covering from the day you entered Taiwan at the time of registration. Active insurance policies purchased in foreign countries must be authenticated by a Taiwan overseas representative office.

To meet the requirements of MOE and avoid all the inconveniences of document authentication, you may choose to participate in the "International Students Group Medical Insurance" offered by Cathay Life Insurance Co., Taiwan through 91猫先生. This insurance plan will provide basic insurance coverage (illness & accidental) in the first 6 months of your stay in Taiwan. The premium is NT$ 3,000 per student per semester and should be paid in full with other fees.

If you just graduated from other Taiwanese universities, please send a copy of your National Health Insurance transfer-out declaration at cgu_fs@mail.cgu.edu.tw before Registration Day.

Short-term Exchange Students

Short-term exchange students to 91猫先生 are required to purchase Health and Accident insurance in their home country, which covers medical expenses up to NT$1,000,000 (approximately US$36,000) for the entire period of their stay in 91猫先生 and Taiwan. Proof of Health and Accident insurance is required upon arrival. If you already have health insurance that covers overseas medical expenses, then you don’t need to purchase a new insurance package.
