University of Calgary 2027 Winter Short-Term Program Info Session

What if English lessons didn’t only happen inside the classroom? In winter 2027, move the classroom into the snowy landscape of Calgary, Canada. This four-week immersive program combines language learning, cultural experiences, and homestay life, while also giving you the chance to see the Rocky Mountains’ year-round snow-covered peaks and glaciers, as well as the frozen, emerald-like surface of Lake Louise in Banff National Park. Calgary’s winter also comes with a small twist. Known as the “snow eater,” the Chinook wind crosses the Rocky Mountains and can raise temperatures from well below freezing within just a few hours, even causing accumulated snow to melt. The distance between you and a language can be a little like Calgary’s snow and wind. In just four weeks, English can become part of your daily life again, allowing you to use it more naturally and flexibly wherever you go. 📌 Info Session Date & Time: Oct. 7, 2026 (Wed.), 15:00–16:00 Venue: First Medical Building, 2F, Meeting Room 3 Speaker: Diana Kang | Program Administrator, University of Calgary Registration: https://forms.gle/Nz3ortKFF93NE1X99 📅 Winter Short-Term Program Dates (Subject to the University of Calgary’s final announcement) 4-week program: Jan. 11–Feb. 5, 2027 5-week program: Jan. 11–Feb. 12, 2027 📖 University of Calgary Program Flyer: https://reurl.cc/4Y8NY3 🏠 CSA Homestay Flyer: https://reurl.cc/qaXYan 📌 Application Period The tentative application period for this semester’s short-term programs is Sep. 30–Nov. 2. Lincoln University 2027 Winter Short-Term Program Information Session

When you hear “kiwi,” you may first think of a familiar English-learning brand. Follow that familiar name south, and our destination is New Zealand — the Land of the Long White Cloud. At Lincoln University, distinctive rooftops and red-brick academic buildings become part of your everyday scenery. In small academic English classes, speaking English is no longer just classroom practice, but something that naturally becomes part of daily life. After class, spend time with your homestay family at a local farmers’ market, using newly learned English to chat, bargain, and joke with vendors. On weekends, travel with classmates across Banks Peninsula, with rolling hills stretching along the road and the wind passing through the car windows. The journey may end in Akaroa, where a white lighthouse overlooks the blue harbour, sailboats rest on the water, and dolphins may occasionally break the surface. Follow the kiwi trail, follow the footsteps of summer, and follow the sun-dried hay bales. Standing beside an open road as cloud shadows move slowly across the hills, you may suddenly realize that English has become part of your everyday life — just like a gentle breeze settling into the world around you. 📌 Information Session Date/Time: Oct. 6, 2026 (Tue.), 11:00–12:00 Venue: First Medical Science Building, 2F, Meeting Room 3 Speaker: Patrick Yeung | Lincoln University Registration: https://forms.gle/V23vrTB5sDwU2DW6A 📅 Winter Short-Term Program Dates (subject to Lincoln University’s final confirmation): Jan. 12–Feb. 5, 2027 📌 The tentative application period for this semester is Sep. 30–Nov. 2.
