在近年研究相關經費補助下,我們於2016年發表關於β2-AR blockade可以有效抑制結直腸癌細胞株增生腫瘤生長。更進一步研究發現β2-AR blockade主要作用於KRAS野生型的結直腸癌細胞。然而在臨床應用上,KRAS的分型對於結直腸癌是重要的。因此在臨床上可事先利用基因檢測方式分析結直腸癌病患中KRAS基因表現型,之後篩選出KRAS野生型的病患,並利用β2-AR blockade進行治療。在β2-AR blocker取得方面,主要作用為降血壓藥物,且相對副作用比化療藥物小。因此,在藥物取得方面也較為方便且價格相對便宜 ,對結直腸癌治療提供了重要方向。

基於此研究,我們衍生出一個有趣,新穎並且重要的主題,我們發現突變形KRAS的活性會活化autophagy而使膜上的 β2-AR內吞,因此脫敏化β2-AR blockade的生長抑制。

我們在抗結直腸癌藥物的研究有不錯的成果。我們首先發現Flavopereirine,a natural b-carboline alkaloid extracted from Geissospermum vellosii (Pao pereira)有效抑制結直腸癌生長之機制。Flavopereirine可以透過P53 dependent機制而有效抑制結直腸癌於in vitro and in vivo生長。

此外,在科技部相关研究经费补助下也协助我们进行苍别诲诲测濒补迟颈辞苍作用於骨质疏鬆症研究。我们经由体外及体内试验証实低浓度的苍别诲诲测濒补迟颈辞苍抑制剂惭尝狈4924可以有效抑制噬骨细胞形成及发育,并且不会对成骨细胞造成伤害,最终能达成治疗骨质疏鬆的效果。这部份结果尚在撰写中,但已获得台湾,日本及美国专利。

综合以上,我们是一个多主题发展的实验室,举凡肿瘤发生及治疗,血管新生,骨质疏鬆症,间质干细胞,呼吸器诱导之肺损伤等都是我们有兴趣之主题。
