本所临床医学组学生应具备之核心能力包括以下六项：

a. 健全臨床醫學知識及醫學研究整合 (To integrate the clinical medical knowledge and medical research)
b. 充實生物醫學理論及研究能力 (To enrich the biomedical theories and investigation potential)
c. 訓練獨立研究能力及研發之創造 (To train the independency of research capability and developmental creativity)
d. 培養溝通協調及團隊合作之能力 (To cultivate the ability of communicational coordination and team cooperation)
e. 開拓國際視野及具備國際競爭力 (To explore the international vision and grow to be competitive)
f. 具備醫學研究倫理 (To acquire the medical and research ethics)

本所教师所开设的课程均依据此六项学生应具备之核心能力為目标进行课程内容的设计与教学,并在课程网路公开课程资料及课程开始时於课堂告知学生，让学生不仅清楚课程的内容，也了解学习各个课程后应具备的核心能力。
