- 天然物在心血管疾病之机转探讨;针对冠状动脉的发生过程与机制,研究药物抑制血小板以及发炎细胞(嗜中性白血球)活化的相关机转,藉以研发对於心血管疾病的有效用药。研究过程中针对药物对血小板以及嗜中性白血球细胞内讯息传递之探讨,包括药物与细胞表面受体结合、酵素活性、自由基清除、细胞内钙离子变化,以及细胞内二级讯息传递之分析。
- 探讨天然药物抗自由基之研究;自由基参与许多生理及病理现象,包括免疫反应、老化、甚至与癌症的发生亦有关连。自由基除了被白血球用於杀菌外,不正常过多的自由基对许多细胞造成不必要的伤害。因此藉由中草药对自由基清除的研究,对於中草药在药品或健康食品发展上,能有更进一步的帮助。
- 研究血液中细胞与细胞间的交互作用;探讨细胞表面吸附分子生理及病理角色,并且配合天然药物对细胞间交互作用的影响,探讨吸附分子表现之讯息传递,以期瞭解吸附分子在血栓形成过程中,生理病理角色,并且藉由药物机制的探讨,找出能预防血栓形成更有效的药物。研究方法以全血的状态下进行,目的是可以达到较接近生理状态。
- 研究天然药物调控人类嗜中性白血球与血小板交互作用机转、探讨血小板刺激嗜中性白血球细胞外陷阱捕捉&苍产蝉辫;(neutrophil extracellular traps; NET) 的机转与药物效果,并以动物血栓及肝臟再灌流模式,评估天然药物的应用。
