研究主题

本实验室以酵母菌(Saccharomyces cerevisiae)、人类细胞、和小鼠模式进行以下叁大主题之研究:

  1. 中草药/天然药物调控DNA修补之分子机转与应用

臨床研究顯示,許多中草药對於合併放射治療有一定的增效作用,其中一個分子原理,是利用中草药抑制細胞的DNA修补机制,来增加癌症细胞的放射线敏感性。因此研究中药物如何调控DNA修补之分子机制,将有助於设计和发展合併放射治疗的新药物。

  1. 中草药對壽命機制之調控與延長壽命/抗肥胖药物之筛选
目前筛选增加寿命药物的系统极少,本实验室利用一套新颖的筛选系统大量筛选具有延长寿命功效的药物,并研究其分子机制。针对人口老化日趋严重的社会现象,此类型健康食品可用於预防及治疗老化相关的病状,更可望大量减少未来老年人口的医疗资源支出,真正达到健康老化的最终目的。
  1. 研发新型预防及治疗新型冠状肺炎(COVID-19)药物
目前对於颁翱痴滨顿-19病毒感染并无治癒方法,随着全球疫情升温,各国迫切地需要找寻更多治疗和预防的潜力药物,最近研究证实罢惭笔搁厂厂2对於厂础搁厂-颁翱痴-2进入及体内传播扮演重要角色,若能使用罢惭笔搁厂厂2抑製剂抑制病毒进入细胞,则有助於COVID-19的治疗。目前本实验致力於筛选具有此一特性之药物并瞭解其分子药理积转,可望作為治疗颁翱痴滨顿-19的候选药物并期望抑制疫情的扩张。
