研究方向及研究室特色

台湾迈入超高龄化社会后,国人在肾臟疾病的医疗支出始终高居不下,肾臟疾病防治成為我国主要的公共卫生挑战之一。

肾元是肾臟结构的基本单位,由肾小体与肾小管共同组成,负责调节血液物质的再吸收及尿液排除。成年后的肾元缺乏再生及分化的能力,因而年龄增长将伴随着肾臟过滤功能逐年下降,而肾臟若发生损伤,会加速慢性肾病的进程而难以挽回。

本实验室致力於肾臟损伤后的转译医学,整合从基础到临床的研究,开发有效的早期预测及治疗手段,希望能提升国人的健康福祉。

现阶段主要的研究方向如下:

   1. 肾臟损伤后的早期预测及药物治疗。

   2. 调节嘌呤补救途径延缓糖尿病肾病变。
