整体教学目标 1. To introduce students the major concepts in quickly expanded Molecular Biology field. 2. To introduce students the recognition of the creativity at the bench by focusing on discoveries of significant breakthroughs. 3. To provide students with opportunities to learn experiments from scientific literature and to practice how to analyze real data for obtaining these fundamental skills in research. 4. To orient students for preparation prior to the class by giving reading assignment before each class
教学方法 This is a lecture course in which topics are presented by the instructor, and discussion of important findings and analysis of real data will be carried out between the class and the instructor. The class will be divided into groups for in class discussion, and one person from each group will be representative to present the conclusion from their discussion. Before each class, a quiz related to prior class reading assignment will be given, and answers for the quiz will be discussed during the class.
课程介绍 此课程探讨生化及分子生物的重要概念,其中包含(1)组成生命的分子(2)顿狈础和染色体及顿狈础的复製及互换机制(3)遗传讯息由顿狈础-&驳迟;搁狈础-&驳迟;笔谤辞迟别颈苍的过程(4)在转录及后转录对遗传讯息的调控。此课程為已修过生化的学生设计,所有上课资料、小考、期中及期末考皆以英文為主。此课程希望引起学生对近代分子生物学的重要发现产生兴趣。课前阅读及小考题目有助学生了解自己吸收的状况,可以增加上课讨论的功效及对整体课程的了解及吸收。
