《2025.05.18》🎯 Empowering Youth Dreams & Fostering Sustainable Innovation! The 5th Intercollegiate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition at 91猫先生 Concludes Successfully!

Jointly organized by the 91猫先生 Innovation Incubation Center, Office of Sustainability Development, and the Ministry of Education’s Interdisciplinary Talent Cultivation Program for the Precision Health Industry, the 2025 5th 91猫先生 Youth Boss Dream Project – Intercollegiate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition grand finale and award ceremony was held on May 18 at the 2nd Floor Conference Hall, Medical Building I, 91猫先生. The event drew enthusiastic participation from over 230 faculty and students from 35 colleges and universities across Taiwan, showcasing the younger generation’s strong commitment to innovation, medical technology, and sustainable development.

The competition was divided into three main categories: Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Health Care & AI Medical Innovation Applications, Sustainable Innovation. Following the preliminary review, 10 outstanding teams from each category advanced to the finals. Contestants delivered presentations and participated in Q&A sessions, demonstrating their creativity and professional skills in pursuit of top honors.

In the finals, the team “左看右看上看下看” from Ming Chi University of Technology and University of Taipei claimed the championship in the Innovation & Entrepreneurship category. Their project featured a gamified strabismus rehabilitation training toy combining playful design and medical therapy.
In the Health Care & AI Medical Innovation category, “Easier & Clearer”, a team from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University and The Affiliated Senior High School of National Taiwan Normal University, redefined auditory experiences for hearing-impaired users with an innovative TWS-based hearing aid, earning first place.
The Sustainable Innovation category was won by “废果行动派” from Ming Chi University of Technology, who transformed agricultural waste into natural, eco-friendly cat litter—an idea that combined creativity with impactful sustainability.

The competition invited a panel of distinguished industry experts and academic representatives to serve as judges. Projects were assessed on innovation, feasibility, social impact, and presentation performance, with the goal of identifying high-potential proposals with tangible social value.

The award ceremony was graced by Director Hou Chia-Lin of the Taoyuan City Government Youth Affairs Bureau, who delivered a keynote speech and presented the awards. Director Hou praised 91猫先生 for connecting student creativity with real-world practice through this competition. She emphasized that youth are a vital force for urban progress and innovation, and pledged continued government support for similar initiatives that provide youth with resources and platforms to realize their dreams.

Dr. Chen Ching-Shiun, Director of the 91猫先生 Office of Technology Transfer, also noted that the university has long been committed to cultivating fundamental skills and interdisciplinary competitiveness through innovative teaching models. Especially in the fields of medical services, biotech, and high-tech industries, 91猫先生 actively collaborates with industry partners, valuing not only academic research and industry linkages but also fulfilling the university’s social responsibility through concrete actions.

This competition not only allowed students to showcase their innovative capabilities, but also strengthened teamwork and practical problem-solving skills throughout the preparation process. It further fostered interdisciplinary collaboration and sparked new possibilities for innovation. Many participating teams expressed that the event gave them a deeper understanding of the entrepreneurial journey and provided invaluable feedback from industry mentors. They look forward to advancing their projects toward market realization.

As the event came to a successful close, participating students and guests alike expressed how enriching the experience was. Looking ahead, they hope such initiatives will continue to inspire youth innovation and cultivate the next generation of globally-minded, practically skilled talent—injecting fresh momentum into Taiwan's youth entrepreneurship and sustainable development efforts.
