Professor Lin earned MBA and PhD in information management from National Chiao Tung University in 1992 and 2001, respectively. He was granted the member of Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honour Society in 2001. Professor Lin’s research focuse on operations research, especially the applications of soft computing and multicriteria decision-making methodologies to computational finance, combinatorial optimization and related fields.  He has published papers in Applied Soft Computing, European Journal of Operational Research, Fuzzy Sets and Systems, Computers & Operations Research, and Journal of the Operational Research Society.
