此奖项设置主要為奖励在免疫学研究有卓越表现的学者，并鼓励基础免疫学家积极参与免疫学会
的学术活动，因此每年经推荐提名后，选出两位基础免疫学者获奖。郭敏玲教授因近年研究成果
優異，並多年擔任免疫學會理事，協辦免疫學講習班課程及 2008年 FIMSA (亞太免疫學會) 與
2012年 APAPARI (亞太兒童過敏呼吸道會議)，在今年度獲得提名並脫穎而出獲得殊榮。
