Dear Faculty Members, Staff, and Students,
Do you know who helped create two of Taiwan’s most iconic childhood snacks, Kuai Kuai and Peacock Crackers?
The Arts Center is honored to invite photographer Liao Ching-Hui, co-founder of Kuai Kuai, to campus for this special exhibition and exchange opportunity. Beyond being the visionary behind a marketing phenomenon, Mr. Liao is also a creator who continues to embrace technology and innovation at the age of 80.
His passion for photography dates back to 1962, when he was personally inspired by renowned photography master Lang Jingshan. Since then, he has captured more than 200,000 moments of everyday life—many through the lens of a smartphone.
This exhibition introduces visitors to Mr. Liao’s unique BMW Philosophy of Photography (Bike, Metro, Walk), a slow-living approach that encourages observing the world through cycling, public transportation, and walking. Using the accessibility of an iPhone camera, he transforms ordinary scenery into compelling visual stories of landscapes, cities, and daily life.
More than a photography exhibition, this event is an intergenerational dialogue on creativity, innovation, and lifelong learning.
We warmly invite everyone to slow down, step into the library, and experience this visual journey that blends technology with the aesthetics of everyday life.
